In an effort to help landowners in the battle against noxious weeds, the Lemhi CWMA has a project to assist with herbicide and biological purchases and mechanical weed control. When you purchase herbicides, dye or surfactants, fill out a cost share application and return it by September, 2007 and you will be eligible for a 50% reimbursment of up to $100.00 dollars. To further assist landowners and encourage adjoining landowners to combine their efforts in weed control, the cost share program will pay up to $120.00 per individual for group applications.

Spray days have also been a part of the Lemhi CWMA. This is a program where you can get your herbicide for free in order to spray your property. If you are unable to spray your propery due to physical restraints, a licensed trained applicator can assist you. We ask that if there is a spray day in your area that you participate and take advantage of this program. Look at the schedule of events to find out when are where the spray days will be held in Lemhi County.
| Another aspect of the cost share program is the equipment loaner program. At the county extension office there are back pack, ATV and horse sprayers available, in addition to hand and ATV seeders. In addition, equipment has also been placed in Leadore and in Elk bend for citizens of those communities to use. This equipment is available to you at no cost (a five dollar refundable deposit is required).
